Oyler, 56, 5911 Powell highway, died Thursday at the Veterans Administration hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born March 21, 1920 in Crystal township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Oyler. He married the former Virgil Trumbell, June 3, 1939 in Ionia. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the army. Mr. Oyler was employed as a mechanic by a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer for nine years and was employed by Craft Automotive sales for 15 years. Survivors include his wife; one son Larry of Saranac; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Powell of Belding and Mrs. Connie Parker of Ionia; three sisters, Mrs. Morita Jansen of Lake Worth, Florida; Mrs. Monita Sandford of Kansas City, Kansas and Mrs. Eva Grubaugh of Middleton; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community church officiating. Burial is in Woodard Lake cemetery.
