Lyle K. Padgett, aged 89, of Saranac, passed away Monday, December 12, 2005 in 
Grand Rapids. He was born March 5, 1916 in St. John's the son of Vernon and 
Flossie (Hill) Padgett. 

He was married to Virginia Padgett for over 50 years who preceded him in death 
in 1988. He went on to marry Jeanette Athier and they have been married for 17 
years. Lyle was a member of Saranac Community Church, Lansing Hall of Fame for 
Baseball, Saranac Lions Club, Elks Club of Lansing and Ionia and Masonic Lodge 
of Ionia and Lansing. He was a former city council of Lansing.

Lyle is survived by his loving wife Jeanette Padgett of Lake Odessa; son, 
Richard and Rebecca Padgett of Saranac; step sons, Garry and Debbie Barrows of 
Germany, Ronald and Kim Barrows of Washington, MI; grandchildren, Richard, 
Kimberly, Jamie, Joseph, Craig, Mary, Bethany, Scott, Candi, Aaron, Ryan, 
Aaron, Joel and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one 
daughter Patricia and two brothers Robert and Rex. 

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. 
Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Saranac.
