Richard Erich Paetsch, aged 71, of Muir, Mich. passed away April 2, 2008.

He was born Jan. 10, 1937 in Ferndale, Mich., the son of Walter and Olga 
(Witt) Paetsch. Richard entered the Navy June 20, 1956. He married Elsie 
Armstong Feb. 18, 1967 in Muir.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Elsie Paetsch of Muir; son 
Richard Erich Paetsch II of Muir; brother Clarence (Jeanette) Paetsch of 
Florida; sisters Margaret Yocum of Sterling, Mich., and Lorraine Braman of 
Holt, Mich. and 18 nephews and 8 nieces.

When it's my time I promise I won't be late
Thank you for blessing us as much as you did,
I have fond and loving memories of you, growing up as a kid
You showed us your selflessness and how to give all you can,
You shaped me personally into a better man
You were a wonderful husband, father, uncle and relative to us all,
You were always there to pick us up when we took a fall
Your love and ability to be strong will always stay in our heart,
I promise for you I won't stumble and fall apart
So please wait for me and the rest of the family at Heavens Gate,
For when its our time we will come see you and not be late
