Page, only daughter of Mrs. W. C. Page, died at 2 o’clock Saturday a.m. after an illness of several weeks. Deceased was 20 years of age and had passed all her life in Ionia. She was bright, amiable and accomplished, qualities that made her a general social favorite, in a wide circle of friends, whose sympathy goes out to the bereaved mother and others of the afflicted family circle. Funeral at family residence, East Main, at 3:30 Sunday. The funeral of Miss Mary A. Page was attended from her late home Sunday afternoon and the spacious house was filled with those who were associates of “Mamie” in her life-time, and friends of the family. The floral tributes were beautiful. Rev. D. F. Barnes, D.D., of the M.E. church, conducted the services, and he was assisted by Rev. W. H. Thomas, D.D., of St. John’s Episcopal church, in both of which churches the melody of her rich voice had been heard. The music on this occasion was furnished by the M. E. Quartette— Mrs. H. J. Horrigan, Miss Scotford, Messrs. J. E. Just and T. F. Maxwell, and Miss Schuster, accompanist. Interment was in the family lot in Highland Park. The bearers were J. D. Wilson, a cousin, of Battle Creed, and Messrs. W. L. Peck, Wyckliffe Spaulding and Grove S. Wright.
