He was the son of Benjamin and Jemima Page, pioneers of Waterville, lumbering center of Boston township, and the last surviving members of the family of six children. Mr. Page seemed as well as usual when he arose in the morning and went about the chores, and as was his custom started for the field to bring the cows to the barn. He did not return as soon as Mrs. Page thought he should and she went in search of him, finding him in a semi-conscious condition in a field about 40 rods from the house. She summoned her son, Herman, who lives at home, and they got the sick man into the house. He soon lapsed into unconsciousness and never rallied. A stroke was given the cause of his illness. Besides the widow he leaves four children, Herman, at home; Sasha, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Roy, whose whereabouts are unknown, and Mrs. Vida Simpkins, of Clarksville.
