Page, 71, of Lyons died Friday, May 24, 1996 at Summit Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Darrell Arlin Page was born March 31, 1925 in Sumner, Mich., the son of Mina (Nickerson) and Gordon Fitch. He came to the Lyons area as a young boy and graduated form Lyons High School in 1943. He married Maxine Duell Aug. 28, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a lifetime farmer and loved to watch baseball. The couple wintered in Edenburg, Texas for the last 11 years. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Portland Co-op Board. He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Christine Seiler and Barbara (Bill) Thomas, of Lyons; one son, Kevin (Sharon) Page, of Lyons; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Terry in December of 1971. A funeral mass for Darrell A. Page will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Charles Hall presiding. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday and Monday at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.
