Evelyn M. Palethorpe, 88, of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at
Metron of Belding.  Mrs. Palethorpe was born Oct. 2, 1917, in Newaygo County,
the daughter of Archie and Estella Klinghammer Bridges. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, JC Palethorpe in 1998; sister, Leona
Walker; brother, Leslie Bridges; and great-grandson, Tim Stowell.  She is
survived by three children, Joanne Mercer of Belding, Carol L. Caithaml of
California, John R. and Delores Blue of Cedar Springs; three stepchildren, Butch
Palethorpe, Paul Palethorpe and Jan Lee Weber; 11 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur and Doris
Bridges of Sparta; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bliss-Witters and Pike
Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.  Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home
with Pastor Larry Young officiating.  Internment will be in Rest Haven Memory
Gardens, Belding.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
