Geraldine Mae Palmatter, 79, of Rockford formerly of Ionia, passed away on 
Sunday, May 9, 2004.  She was born on May 24, 1924 in Lyons the daughter of 
Edward and Lillian (White) Wedge.  Mrs. Palmatter was originally from the 
Lyons/Muir area and lived in the Ionia area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherry Daly; son, Michael 
Palmatter.  Surviving are her children, Rosemary Soblesky of Lake Odessa, 
Robert Palmatter of Grand Rapids, Diane Wiley of Comstock Park and Dennis 
Palmatter of Clare; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Schrauben-Lehman 
Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia with interment following at Highland Park 
Cemetery, Ionia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 
to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
