Palmer, 63, Greenville, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at her home. She was born July 17, 1937, in Hubbardston, the daughter of Paul T. and Dorothy O’Connor Hainer. She worked at Atwood, Lowell, for 32 years. She was a member of Lowell Moose Lodge and Lowell American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid lover of gardening, all wildlife, yard sales and playing the slot machines. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald L. Mead of Greenville, Ronald and Linda Mead of Belding; two daughters and one son-in-law, MaLinda Mead and Bill Taylor of Mulliken, Karina and Chris Dennis of Deltona, Fla.; eight grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six stepgreatgrandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Barb Hair of Kalamazoo, Robert and Olivia Hair of Galesburg; and a half sister, Bertha VanCannon of Carson City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul T. and Dorothy Hainer; one granddaughter, Tonya Marie Mead; and her special friend, Joseph Platjouw. Funeral services were July 3 at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City, with the Rev. Reid Martin officiating. Interment was in Westside Cemetery, Hubbardston.
