For many weeks she had been watching and waiting for the summons, for old age had brought its several warnings. Her life has always been an active one, toiling from the sunrise of youth, to the sunset of old age. Nine children survive her, six sons and three daughters. She was one of the earliest settlers in this township, having resided here for 48 years. All through her illness she was unwavering in her firm attachment to the Christian principles which were the guide of her life, making every arrangement for her final departure. Her virtues are enshrined in the memory of all who knew her. She was a kind and loving mother, and her death will be greatly missed, not only by her children, but by a large circle of friends. Her presence will be greatly missed in the home circle, and at the fireside, and the echo of her cheery voice will often float down the silent aisles of memory.
