Deceased was formerly a resident of Orleans where he was born, being the first white child born in the township. He had lived at the home in Ionia 31 years. He is survived by a widow and daughter, Mrs. Gebhart of Detroit. Funeral announcements will be made later. _______________________ Friday, February 1, 1918 Funeral services for Chas Palmer will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the residence. Rev. R. J. Slee officiating. Friends are asked to omit flowers. ________________________ Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1918 Funeral services for Chas. Palmer were held at the residence on West Lincoln avenue Saturday. Rev. R. J. Slee officiating. The music was by Mrs. R. A. Colwell and Mrs. John Hodgkins. The bearers were Paul and Ralph Kitson and Ervie and Palmer Hall. Burial was in Highland Park.
