The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, February 14, 1963


Requiem High Mass was sung at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church at 9 o’clock 
Wednesday morning for Lee W. Panney, 72, of 528 East Main street who died 
Sunday afternoon.  The Rev. Fr. Donald Lomasiewicz sang the mass.  Prayer 
service at Myers funeral home preceded the mass at 8:30.  Interment was at Mt. 
Olivet cemetery.

Bearers were Fred Gierman, Andrew Risser, William Salem, William Longe, C. 
Anthony Balice and Lynn Morris.

Attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. William McAlary, Mr. and Mrs. Earl 
McAlary, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord McAlary, Larry McAlary, Robert McAlary, Mr. and 
Mrs. H. Yankey and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hauck of Grand Rapids; 
Mrs. Nellie Felton and Mrs. F. E. Schmachtenberger of Lansing, Mrs. M. P. 
Bates of Hillsdale, Mrs. Roy Vincent of Belding, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Failing 
and son o f Litchfield, Mrs. Esther Kress of Adrian and Gordon Kress of Big 
Rapids.
