Sheridan – Clifford L. Parcher, 92, of Palo died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998 at 
Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma.  He was born the son of John and Jennie 
(Clauson) Parcher on Dec. 31, 1905 in Findley, Ohio.  He was married to Ruby M. 
(Bentley) Parcher on Dec. 24, 1927.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby M. Parcher; two daughters, Wanetta Hume of 
Palo and Virginia (Bob) Chrisman of Ionia; two sons, Donald (Leona) Parcher of 
Brooksville, Fla. and Louis (Mabel) Parcher of Fenwick; 15 grandchildren; 33 
great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in 
death by his parents and two brothers.

He has been a long-time resident of the Vestaburg and Palo areas.  He and his 
wife formerly owned and operated Parcher’s Furniture and Antiques in Palo for 
many years.  In addition, he enjoyed spending winters in Florida for more than 
20 years.

Visitation will be at the Stebbins & Simpson Funeral Home in Sheridan on 
Monday, Jan. 5, 1998 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Funeral service will be at 11 
a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998 at the Sheridan Assembly of God Church in 
Sheridan.  Officiating will be Pastor Jim Wilcox.  Interment will be in the 
Palo Cemetery.
