Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 Sep 1936

The death of Fred Pardeen of Saranac occurred Sunday morning at the home of
Jennie Abraham.  He had not been ill long but had been failing since August when
he over did fighting a fire that burned for a week around his farm.

He was born in 1875 on the old homestead just north of Saranac and was the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Amaziah Pardeen.  His father was supervisor of Boston township
for several years.  Fred Pardee lived near Saranac all his life.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Minnie Densmore of Saranac and a nephew, Howard
Hawley, of Grand Rapids.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, September 22 at 2 o’clock with Rev. John
Gehring officiating.  Interment will be in the Saranac cemetery.
