MICHAEL V. PARENTE
LAKE ODESSA - Funeral services for Michael V. Parente 22, will be Saturday at 10 am
at St. Edwards Catholic church at Lake Odessa. Interment will be at the Clarksville
cemetery.

Mr. Parente of route 1, Freeport, was dead on arrival at Butterworth hospital in
Grand Rapids as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident early Thursday
morning.

Born August 28, 1952, in Grand Rapids, he was the son of Vincent and Patricia Volmer
Parente. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1971 and had lived in the
Clarksville area on Bell road eight years. He came here with his parents fromCalifornia and was
employed by Steelcase, Inc., of Grand Rapids the past year.

He served with the army two years being stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky. He was a
member of St. Edward's Catholic church at Lake Odessa.

Surviving are the parents; four sisters, Mrs. Patricia Warner of Byron Center,
Barbara, Christine and Sharon, and two bothers, Robert and Vincent, all at home; maternal 
grandparents Mr and Mrs J. C. Volmer of Grand Rapids and paternal grandparents, Mr
and Mrs Robert O. Parente of Grand Rapids.

Rosary will be recited Friday at 8 pm at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel at Lake
Odessa.
