The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, October 27, 1931

Mrs. Etta Park, of Vermontville, a resident of Portland most of her life, died 
Saturday evening following a stroke suffered Friday.  The funeral services 
were held Tuesday afternoon at the home of her only surviving child, Mrs. 
James Nichols.  Mrs. Park lost four children of the diphtheria epidemic in 
1894.  A sister, Mrs. Frank Smith, of Vermontville, and a brother, Chauncey 
Gunn,, of Long Beach, Cal., also survive.
