Parker died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Angell in this city last Friday, aged nearly 81 years. Eliza A. Edmonston was born at Manchester, N.Y., on June 24, 1824. In January 1845 she was married to Benj. A. Parker. To this union three children were born, all of whom are now living, as follows: John C. Parker of Palmyra, N.Y.; Mrs. J. T. Angell, of Belding and Mrs. M. B. Divine, of Portland, Mich. In 1875 Mr. Parker and family moved from their eastern home to Michigan, locating in this city, where he engaged in the banking business and, until the time of his death, on Oct. 27, 1889, was prominent among business and social circles. Deceased was possessed of a loveable disposition; always kind, generous and true to neighbor and friend and was highly esteemed by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. A short funeral service was held at the house last Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. Secord, after which Mrs. Angell and Mrs. Divine accompanied the remains to Palmyra, N.Y., where they were laid at rest beside those of her husband.
