The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, November 12, 1988

Jesse L. Parker, 85, of Ionia, died Nov. 10 at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.  He was born on Feb. 20, 1903, in Sand Lake, the son of Charles and 
Elizabeth (Bradley) Parker.  He attended high school in Pierson.  He worked 
for the Ionia County Road Commission for 37 years, retiring in 1968.

He married Beulah Williams in Saranac on July 2, 1925.

Surviving are his wife, Beulah; three daughters, Joyce Scheurer of Portland, 
Norene Ketchum of Ionia, and Uldene North of Greenville; seven grandchildren; 
12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Azor Parker of 
Trufant and Ora Parker of Cedar Springs.  He was preceded in death by his 
brother, Cassius Parker.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia, 
the Rev. Robert Nixon officiating.  Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.  
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Area Hospice.
