Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Sept. 14, 1920


The funeral for Monty Parker was held from the residence on Adams Street Monday 
afternoon at 3 o’clock, Rev. E.E. Branch officiated. The bearers were all 
railway men who had worked with Mr. Parker for many years. Thy were Tom Welen, 
Mike Welch, W. Carter, H. Calenbert, Theodore Sheppard and Hiram Crandall. 
There were also many railroad men present from along the line. The floral 
offerings were many and beautiful. The Grand Trunk freight house was closed 
during the funeral; interment in Oak Hill.
