Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 2 Feb 1961

Funeral service for Claude S. Parker, 75, who died Friday evening at 228 East 
Main street, was held Tuesday afternoon.  The Rev. Paul Knaak, pastor of 
Lincoln Avenue Baptist church, officiated and burial was at Balcom cemetery.  
Bearers were Cecil McCoy, Guy McCoy, Otto Randall, Cecil Skipper, James Parker 
and William Monks.

Those attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Chaffee, Viva Johnson, and 
Ruth Denslow of St. Johns; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Parker, Sharlean Massaman, Mr. 
and Mrs. Cecil McCoy and Mrs. Dawn Lohre of Lansing; Kirk Parker and daughters 
of Blanchard, Mrs. Blanche Parker and son of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Parker and 
Minerva Chaney of Durand, Mr. and Mrs. Gay Norton and Sarah Rouch of Hastings, 
Mr. and Mrs. John Parker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Skipper, Mrs. James 
Robertson, Mrs. Ronald Hornburg, Mrs. Elsie Monks and Mrs. Larry Collins of 
Grand Rapids, Mrs. Verne Frede of Traverse City, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Townsend 
and Mrs. Robert Nelson of Muir, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Randall and family of 
Belding, Mr. and Mrs. Guy McCoy and Roy Perrish of Orleans, Mrs. Beulah Otto, 
Mrs. Loroy Dyer and Mrs. Francis Otto of Vestaburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey 
Otto of Detroit.
