The Ionia Standard, Friday, December 29, 1911
Mrs. Clarissa Deborah Parker died Christmas night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
Wilbur H. Locke, 260 East Main St.  

She was born September 23, 1822, in Orleans Co., N.Y., and there married 
Edward Z. Parker.  They removed to Michigan in 1864 and settled in Easton 
township, Ionia Co., in 1880 moving to Otisco.  Here Mr. Parker died in 1887, 
after which Mrs. Parker took up her residence at the home of her oldest 
daughter, Mrs. Locke.  She has been ill now six years, as the result of a 
paralytic stroke, but during most of the time since has been mentally clear, 
and interested in those about her.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock at the Free Methodist 
church in Belding.
