He was born on May 11, 1915 in Toronto, Canada. He served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942 to 1948. He was employed at American Auto Felt-Chrysler Lyons Trim Plant until retirement. He is survived by two sons, Grant Parkin of St. Johns and Gary Parkin of Fenwick; one step-daughter, Michelle McCord of Ionia, and one step-son, Patrick McCord of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 1995 at 4 p.m. at the Easton Church, corner of Johnson and Potter’s Roads.
