The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 10, 1995
Henry Austin “Hap” Parkin, 79, resident of Northport, Fla., formerly of Ionia, 
died in his sleep on March 23, 1995.  He was born on May 11, 1915 in Toronto, 
Canada.  He served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942 to 1948.  
He was employed at American Auto Felt-Chrysler Lyons Trim Plant until 
retirement.  

He is survived by two sons, Grant Parkin of St. Johns and Gary Parkin of 
Fenwick; one step-daughter, Michelle McCord of Ionia, and one step-son, 
Patrick McCord of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 1995 at 4 p.m. at the 
Easton Church, corner of Johnson and Potter’s Roads.
