Ionia Sentinel, Thursday, October 18, 1973

Ronald I. Parks, 68, of 52 Belhaven, Belding, was dead on arrival of a heart 
attack at Belding Community hospital Thursday afternoon.

Born in Fenwick, May 30, 1905, he was a lifetime resident of the area.

He was a retired plant superintendent of Extruded Metal corporation of 
Belding.  

He belonged to the Belding lodge F & AM and was a member of Belding United 
Methodist church.

January 7, 1939 he was married to the former Mrs. Kate McConnell and she 
survives.

Besides the wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Kenny of Belding and 
stepdaughter Mrs. Thelma Bradford of Belding; stepson, John R. McConnell of 
Belmont; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Charles M. Courser funeral home 
in Belding.  Rev. Eugene Lewis will officiate and interment will be at Rest 
Haven Memory Gardens in Ionia county.

A memorial has been established for the heart fund.

Visitation hours at the funeral home will be Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 
p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
