Belding Banner-News, Thursday, December 1966

Mrs. Sara B. Parks, 86, 816 W. Ellis, died Tuesday, December 6, at
Droste-Ferguson Hospital in Grand Rapids following a short illness.  Mrs. Parks
was born April 17, 1880, in Shiloh, Michigan.  She was a member of the Fenwick
Methodist Church and its W.S.C.S. guild.  In 1900 she married Erving Parks who
preceded her in death in 1952.  A son, Guy, died in 1951.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arthur S. (Vina) Petersen of Greenville; a
son Ronald I. Parks of Belding; a brother, Frank Emery of Spencer, Michigan;
five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, at 2 p.m. from
Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home, Reverend Ross Tracy of Central Methodist Church
officiating.  Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery, Montcalm County.  Her
family will meet friends and relatives Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
at the funeral home.
