Former Resident Dies In Lansing

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 o’clock at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home
for Mrs. Rose Parks, who was found dead in her room on Sunday morning at the
home of her nieces, Misses Mary and Leona Gore, in Lansing, with whom she made
her home.

She was born near this city 88 years ago, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Luick, and lived most of her life in this vicinity.  She was a member of the
Belding Methodist Church and an active worker during her residence here.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harold Preston, of Denver, Colo., and one
granddaughter, her husband, James Parks, having passed away several years ago. 
Rev. J. Ray Gillham officiated at the funeral services and burial was beside her
husband in Otisco cemetery.
