Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Aug 1929

Harrison Parks, 73, of Lyons, died at 11 o’clock Monday evening of a long 
illness that resulted from a stroke.  The funeral services will be held 
Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Eastern Standard time.  The burial will be in 
Lyons. Rev. A. T. Halsted will be in charge of the services. 

Mr. Parks was born in Clinton county.  he was united in marriage in 1890 to Ann 
Beverly, who with two daughters, Mrs. Dell Blow and Mrs. Theron Miller, both of 
Easton, and 6 grandchildren survive.  He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Albert 
Martin, of Eureka, and Mrs. John Brakens, of Grand Ledge, and two brothers, 
George Parks of Merrill, and Hezikiah Parks, of Ithaca.

He served as the village marshal several years.
