ALICE PARRISH
Alice Parrish, of Ionia, passed away Sept. 20, 2017 at the age of 87. She was 
born the youngest of seven children to Claude and Lizzie Eldridge of Muir.

After graduating form Lyons High School in 1947, she moved to Ionia, where 
she worked for Mitchell Bentley and several years for Butterfield Theaters as 
a cashier and assistant manager. She married Donald Wolfert and they had two 
children, Dale and Tamara. They later divorced.

She later married Ross Parrish and they moved to Saranac. they also later 
divorced.

Alice worked for American Auto Felt in Lyons, which later became Chrysler. 
She moved to Detroit when the plant closed and retired after 30 years, 
spending 12 years at the Detroit Trim Plant.

Alice returned back to Saranac in 1991. She loved golfing, horses and playing 
euchre at the Moose, of which she was a member. She also collected dolls as a 
hobby.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, three brother's and her high 
school sweetheart, Don Hartman, with whom she spent 17 years with. After 
Don's passing, she moved back to Ionia.

Alice is survived by her children, Tamara (Lyle) Griffith of Orleans and Dale 
Wolfert of Ionia; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, on e great-
great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be a Celebration of her life at the 
Ionia Moore Lodge including lunch, on Monday, Sept. 25, 3-6 p.m.

Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Memorial contributions may be
