Stella Parrott Dies in Florida

Miss Stella Parrott, 81, a former Woodland resident, passed away Monday, Nov. 
24, at Bradenton, Fla., following a long illness. She was born Jan. 14, 1888, at 
Woodland, daughter of Lafayette and Evah (Haight) Parrott and lived on their 
farm at the north edge of Woodland before selling the farm and moving to 
Florida. She and her sister Florence, who passed away in December 1965, had a 
beautiful peony garden in their yard. 

Funeral services were held Wednesday  at 3:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev. 
Marvin Zimmerman officiated, with burial in Woodland Memorial Park.
