Patrick, 83, died at his farm home east of the village on Looking- Glass avenue Thursday. He had suffered a severe injury to the left leg two weeks previous in a fall on icy ground, as mentioned in last weeks’ edition. His condition was serious for several days before his death, but a heart attack suffered Thursday was directly responsible for his demise. Bearers were Forest Every, Hope Durkee, Gerald Moriarty, Robert Goodman, Arnold Fedewa, all neighbors, and Herbert Jameson, a former neighbor. Mr. Patrick was born in Eagle township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick. Sixty-two years ago January 21st he married Miss Dora Campbell, of Portland, and the couple settled on the former Campbell farm near Looking-Glass avenue. About 20 years ago they moved to the farm of their daughter, Mrs. Clem Robinson, where Mrs. Patrick’s death occurred in 1928. Mrs. Robinson is the only surviving child, and Allie Badder, of Eagle township, is a nephew. Among those who came from away to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Patrick, Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Patrick, Coopersville, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson, Albion.
