Patrick, aged 95, of Orleans, passed away June 9, 2009. She was born Dec. 17, 1913 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Dennis and Esta Mae (Payne) Schrier. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1932. Margaret married Russell H. Patrick on Sept. 27, 1935. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1998 after being married for 63 years. She graduated from Michigan County Normal Training in 1955 and the went on to graduate from Western Michigan University in August of 1962. Margaret loved teaching, and most of all the 1st graders at Lowell Community Schools where she retired from in 1978. She enjoyed Christian programs on T.V. Margaret supported many charities. She loved playing the organ, dancing and reading. Margaret was a member of Shiloh Community Church and The Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her son James (Linda) Patrick and daughter Marilyn (Terry) Williams, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers Russell and Robert and a sister Violet. Memorial services will be held Friday 2 p.m. at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at 1 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Funeral arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
