                    PATRICK

Barbara "Barb" Jean Patrick, age 85 of Ionia, passed away on Friday, December 1, 
2023 surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was born on February 
28, 1938, in Athens, MI, the daughter of George and Polka (Howard) Risner.

Barbara lived most of ehr life in Ionia County where she met and married the 
love of life, Don Patrick, on June 16th, 1955. Together they had 10 children, 26 
grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Barb devoted her life to her 
family. She loved having a full home, hosting family get-togethers and cooking 
for everyone.She was fiercely protective of her loved ones and raised her 
children with strong morals and values. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed 
shopping, playing cards, going for walks and traveling with her husband, Don.

Barb will be deeply missed by her husband, Don of Ionia; children, Pam (Brent) 
Mitchell of Lake Odessa, don Patrick, Jr. of Saranac, Terri Patrick of Colorado, 
Billy Patrick of Ionia, Greg (Erin) Patrick of Rockford, Lori (Greg) Conklin of 
Rockford, Brian Patrick of Oregon, Michelle Mamby of Rockford and Alicia (Zuma) 
Mota of Brazil; brother, Larry Risner of Gun Lake; sisters, Ann Patrick of 
Allegan and Josephine Bailey of Belding.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Ted, Richard, Frank, 
Ollie, Ray, Clayton, Dave and Doralee; her granddaughter, Heather; and her 
beloved daughter, Kelly Sue.

A Funeral Service was held at 1 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia. Visitation was on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial 
Contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice. Online Condolences can be
