Ionia Daily Sentinel, 8 Jun 1911

Mrs. Bridget Patterson, of Lyons, who was badly burned about four weeks ago, 
died at her home there Friday.  Mrs. Patterson was a widow and was raking and 
burning leaves in her yard when her clothing caught fire.  She ran into the 
house and put out the blaze and then walked to the doctor’s.  However her burns 
were so severe that her life was despaired of at the time.  She lived nearly a 
month but finally succumbed.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she is 
buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.]
