Lyons Herald, 5 Mar 1903

Born June 28th, 1873, he lived, grew to manhood and died in the village where 
he was born.  Having a fine physical development he was an athlete whom few 
would care to meet.  Yet his kind disposition and unfailing good nature kept 
him out of the many broils in which those less favored were engaged.  He was 
generous to a fault, with no enemies and hosts of friends.  Many will long, 
very long remember big hearted Danny.
