Eve M. Patterson, 87, of Ionia passed away July 21, 2005, in Ionia.  She was
born Oct. 18, 1917, in Belding, the daughter of Claude and Hazel Lytle Ortt. 
She married Ross Patterson on March 21, 1942.  He preceded her in death Feb. 5,
1996.  Eve retired from teaching elementary school at Greenville Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard and Allen Lytle.  She is
survived by her sons, Frank and Fran Patterson of Atlanta, Ga., Bruce and Faye
Patterson of Grand Rapids; sisters, Arlene Fancett of Orleans, Betty Nowak of
Portland; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Saranac Cemetery, with the Rev.
Kendall Harger officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eve’s
name to American Lung Association.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
