He had been in the hospital since the accident, for a number of days lying in an unconscious condition. Mr. Patterson was born at Remus, the son of Mr and Mrs R. A. Patterson. When a small boy the family moved to Orleans and later to Collins where Mr. Patterson owns and conducts a grocery store. LaRue graduated from the Portland High school with the class of 1929 and from the Michigan State college in 1933. He had been employed at Lansing for the past year. He was married to Miss Doris cCox, of Ionia township, last May. Mrs. Patterson was seriously injured in the same accident, but is now improving. She was taken from Blodgett hospital to the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs Benjamin Cox, in Ionia township, in an ambulance last Friday. The funeral of Mr. Patterson was held Sunday at the home of his parents in Collins, the wife attending the services in an ambulance. Interment was made in the Bloomer Center cemetery. Besides the wife and parents he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Roy Wright, of Orange township. Among the relatives from away attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Boyer, of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. John Tew, of Grand Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Braman of Franklin, Indiana.
