MARTA LOUISE PATTON
Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon,
15-year-old school girl, who died Sunday evening in University hospital in Ann Arbor after a
four-day illness. The Rev. A.R. Westmaas officiated at the services with interment in
Balcom cemetery.

Her bearers were Charles Langdon, Robert Hodson, Robert Heppe, Donald Bates, Ronald

McFaden and Gerald Wilder, classmates. A group of fellow students attended the
services.

Attending the services from out of town were Mr and Mrs Orrison Bailey of Willow
Run; Mrs Vern Miller of Jackson; Miss Phyllis Brown of Grand Rapids; Mrs Anthony Ortowski and
Ora Chaffee of Ada;  Mr and Mrs Earl Cludy of Maple Rapids; Mr and Mrs Carl Patton of
Lansing; Mr and Mrs Don Draper and son of Sheridan; Mrs Clayton Stearns of Riverdale; Mr and
Mrs G. H. MacLaren and Margaret MacLaren of Charlotte; Mr and Mrs H. L. MacLaren of
Ithaca; Mr and Mrs William Barnes and son of Sumner; Mr and Mrs Jess Amon, Mrs Morris
Johnson and Mrs. Warren Proctor of Grand Ledge; Mrs Velma Hopkins and daughter of Lyons; and
Mr and Mrs Tim Patton, Mr and Mrs George Brown, Roy Brown, Mr and Mrs Robert Waldo 
and children, Mr and Mrs Howard Barnes, Mrs Walter Kipp, Mrs A. G Seiler, Mr and Mrs
Conrad Churchill, Mrs Wm Patton, Mr and Mrs Kenneth Patton, Mr and Mrs Charles
Miller, Mrs Barnery Palmer and Mrs Josephine Gurecki, all of Carson City.
