Ionia Sentinel Standard - Thursday, 28 May 1936
Mrs. Carrie E. Paul, 73, died Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the home 
of her brother, William E. Baker, Boston Township.  She was the daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Baker, and was born in Napoleon, Ohio.  At two years of 
age she came to Ionia, where she has spent all her life until a few years ago.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mettie Ladner, of Grand Rapids; a son, Leland 
Paul of Detroit; three brothers William and Clifton of Saranac, and Theodore 
of Sault Ste. Marie.

Funeral services will be held Friday afernoon at 2 o'clock from the home of 
William Paul in Saranac.  Rev. Frank Loomis will officiate and interment will 
be at Saranac cemetery.  Pall bearers will be James Hatch, Fred Lewis, Royal 
Lewis, George Thurlby, I. H. Brower and Austin Chase.
