She was born April 22, 1959 in Albuquerque, N.M., the daughter of John P. and Jenny Reesing Thomas. Lisa graduated from Luther Burbank High School in San Antonio, Texas. She attended the University of Texas where she earned her BA in Journalism in May of 1982. After college she joined the Navy, where she met her husband, Ken Paulson. They were married on April 11, 1986. Lisa enjoyed life and always felt that raising her children was her life’s true calling. She loved babies and beaches. Lisa believed in God and the life everlasting and is therefore looking forward to seeing each and every one of you again. Lisa is survived by her husband, Ken, and their four beautiful children, Autumn (14), Austin (12), Alex (9), and Andie (6); her father, Col. John P. Thomas (USAF Ret.) of Round Rock, Texas; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathi and Richard Bass of Houston, Texas, Carole and Bob Fowler of Paige, Texas; her brothers and sister-in-law, John and Bonnie Thomas of Houston, Texas, Ben Thomas of Round Rock, Texas; in-laws, Gerald and Lois Paulson of Belding, Sandy O’Donnel and Mark Muehfeld of Belding, Amy Paulson of Interlochen, Tony and Bridgette Paulson of Belding; and many nieces and nephews. At Lisa’s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Richard Nicholas of Cedar Creek Church officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at Shiloh Community Church. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club, Hospice of Michigan, or Cedar Creek Community Church.
