MATILDA PAUSTLE, AGED NEARLY EIGHTY, WAS ILL NEARLY A YEAR. ------ WAS RESIDENT OF IONIA COUNTY MANY YEARS RESIDING AT LAKE ODESSA AND LATER IN IONIA FOR THE PAST FIFTEEN YEARS---LEAVES SIX CHILDREN. ----- Mrs. Matilda Paustle, who resided on East Washington street, died at the home of her son, E. Paustle, East Washington Street, last night, after a nine months' illness. Mrs. Paustle had been a resident of Ionia for 15 years. She was born in 1836 in Ohio and was nearly 80 years of age. She lived at Lake Odessa for many years after coming to Michigan from Ohio. She was married to George Foster, of Lake Odessa one child, Mrs. Geo. Hackett of Detroit surviving. Her second marriage was to George Paustle and there are five children surviving it is believed. The eldest son left 30 years ago and went to Alaska. Nothing has since been heard from him and it is believed that he is dead. The other children are John of Vestaburg, Cora of Detroit, Wilbur and Ellis of Ionia and Austin of Montana.
