Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Aug 1982

Mary M. Peabody, 79, of 1396 Morton St., Orleans, died Monday afternoon in 
Ionia Manor.  She was born March 29, 1903, in Clinton County, the daughter of 
Joseph and Mary Fox, and she was married to Vern Peabody July 12, 1940, in 
Ionia.

She was formerly employed by Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Co., People’s Bargain 
Store, and Clothing Care Center.

She is survived by her husband; a brother, Theodore Fox of Lansing; and several 
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman Funeral 
Home.  Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.  The family will be at the 
funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 
p.m.
