Ionia Sentinel Standard, 31 Aug 1996

Ionia – Loretta K. Peabody, 54, of Ionia died Aug. 30, 1996 at her home.  She 
was born the daughter of Don & Marguerite (Fuller) Carroll on Nov. 25, 1941 in 
St. Johns.

She graduated from Ionia High School in 1959.  She was a Gray Lady on the Red 
Cross at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She was a member of the MS Support 
Group in Ionia Co.  She was also an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years; Joe; a daughter: Teresa (Bruce) 
Helmes of Ionia; two grandchildren: Stephanie and A. J. Helmes; her sister: 
Nancy Esch of Lansing; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John and Pat 
Stowell of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews.

According to Loretta’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place and there 
will be no visitation or funeral service held.
