MRS. NEVA PEABODY DIED FRIDAY



Mrs. Neva Peabody passed away Friday morning at Youngstown, Ohio where she was 
spending the winter. She had been ill for several months.

Mrs. Peabody, a native of Kent County, has resided here for many years, coming 
here from Mulliken where she lived after her marriage to Dr. C.H. Peabody. He 
practiced here for 45 years and several years ago the couple were honored 
during the local fair at Dr. Peabody day. 

She was a member of the Lake Odessa chapter OES; past president of the Lake 
Odessa Woman’s Club and a member of the Woman’s Fellowship of the 
Congregational Church. 

Following Dr. Peabody’s retirement from active practice, the couple spent their 
winters in the south. After their son, Dr. Cary S. Peabody located to 
Youngstown, Ohio, they purchased a home there and spent the winters there and 
summers in their home. Only near relatives surviving are the husband and son. 
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Pickens funeral chapel with 
burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Paul Robinson officiated.

Peabody – We wish to say thank you to all our friends for the beautiful 
flowers, all of the food and the many acts of kindness at the time of the loss 
of our wife and mother.
