William James Peabody, 48, of Lyons, passed away March 19, 2010, in Lansing. He 
was born Nov. 16, 1961, in Lansing, the son of James and Norma (Morofsky) 
Peabody. He married Lisa Strum, Aug. 5, 1989, in Mason at Wayside Chapel

William is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lisa, of Lyons, he was her 
best friend and hero; children, PFC William Peabody II of Colorado, Austin 
Peabody and Kendra Peabody at home; brother Richard (Julie) Peabody of Ionia; 
sisters, Marth (James) Hay of Muir, Sarah Hussman of Muir and Beth Ann (Tyson) 
Cowles of Lansing; sister-in-law, Stacy (Jim) Simons of East Lansing, Tina (TJ) 
Ellena of Lansing and Nancy (Chris) Thrasher of  Lansing; several nieces, 
nephews, cousins, friends and two pets, Boots and J.D.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Denise; grandparents, Marguerite and 
Ralph Morofsky and Carl and Margaret Peabody.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion United Methodist 
Church with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating. Interment Lyons Cemetery. 
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
