James Fred Peabody, 84, of Ionia died Tuesday afternoon at the Ionia Community 
hospital. He was taken ill suddenly Sunday afternoon and was removed to the 
hospital Monday afternoon, seriously ill.

He was born in 1848 in Ronald township. He is survived by one son, Ernest 
Peabody of Ionia and three grandchildren, Elten, Vern and Kenneth.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Bradley 
funeral home and burial will be at the Woodard Lake cemetery beside his wife.
