Peabody, 92, of 321 East Washington street died Monday at Ionia Manor where she had been a patient since June 1966. Born in Toledo, Ohio, March 27, 1874 she was the daughter of George Rosenfelder and Mary Hartnick. Mrs. Peabody lived in Toledo, attending school there and later taught school. She then moved to Michigan where she taught two years of school at Shilo. November 6, 1894 she married Frank E. Peabody and they lived on a farm until 1918 at which time they moved in Ionia. Mr. Peabody preceded her in death in March 1946. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and WSCS of the church. She also was a life member of Eastern Star. Surviving are a son, Raymond F. Peabody of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Voelker and Mrs. Clarence Johnson of Ionia, a sister, Mrs. Edward Decker of Pamona, Calif., and seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Boynton funeral home Thursday at 2 o’clock. Rev. Lester C. Bailey will officiate with entombment in Highland Park mausoleum. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening to receive friends and relatives. ------------ Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha C. Peabody were Thursday at 2 o’clock. Mrs. Peabody was born March 27, 1874 in Toledo and was the daughter of George and Mary Rosenfelder. Bearers were Carl Michael, Richard Peabody, Kenneth Johnson, Robert Hollar, Juris Pogainis and Clarence S. Johnson. Friends and relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Michael and Douglas of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Juris Pogainis of Toledo and Mrs. Thomas Taylor and Scott of Dallas, Tex., Rev. Lester C. Bailey officiated with entombment in Highland Park mausoleum.
