Washington street. He had walked down town during the forenoon and had just arrived in the house when he slumped to the floor. He was born April 2, 1874, in Ronald township and came to this vicinity from Spring Lake 15 years ago. For the past eight years he and Mrs. Peabody had lived at Bricker park, Long lake, where they owned a cottage and had taken an apartment in Grand Rapids, winters, but this year had rooms with Mrs. Dunlap on W. Washington street. He was a carpenter by trade and for a short time worked in the basket factory. Besides the widow, he is survived by one brother, who when last heard from was living in a western state; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.at the Ellis Funeral Home with Rev. Gustave Ferre officiating, and burial will be at Saranac. Pallbearers are Jay Outman, Leo Tower, Bruno Schaeffler, Paul Outman, Ronald Turk and Harry Covell.
