ROBERT PEABODY
Robert (Wes) Peabody, 68, died Sunday morning of an apparent heart attack at his
home at 635 Lawton.

Born in Ionia county November 26, 1905, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Peabody.

September 8, 1932, he was married in Ionia to LaVona Nimz and they lived their
entire married life in Ionia.

He was employed at Kelvinator Manufacturing Corportation of Grand Rapids for many
years and the past two years was a security guard at Universal Products of Saranac.

Surviving besides the wife, LaVona, are a son, Robert Peabody of Ionia; six
daughters, Mrs. Joan Thorpe of Greenville, Mrs. Elaine Cook of Saranac, Mrs. Marilyn Preston, Mrs.
Kathryn Wray and Mrs. Helen Smiley, all of Ionia and Mrs. Brenda Curtis of Bath; 26
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Myers-Roetman funeral home.
Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
