Excerpts from Obituary:
JUNE PEABODY of Haslett
Died in East Lansing on June 11, 2019-age 88.
Born June 10, 1931 to Gertrude M. and Leslie J. Sykes.
Employed by St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids and Ionia County Hospital.
Married Fred Peabody in 1955. Moved to Haslett in 1962, became an obstetric 
nurse at Lansing Sparrow Hospital, where she retire after 25 years.
Member of Haslett Community Church for 57 years, volunteered in many 
programs, including Meals on Wheels.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Joseph Sykes & Morse 
Sykes, son-in-law, Joseph McCarthy.
Survived by sons, Carl (Melony) Peabody, and Jeffrey (Guy) Peabody, daughter, 
Anne McCarthy, 2 grandchildren, twin sister, Joyce (Donald) Geiger, nieces 
and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Haslett Community Church. 
Visitation before service at 10 a.,. Interment at Meadowbrook Cemetery in 
Mulliken.
