PEABODY, 
Richard Peabody, 90, formerly of Ionia passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 in 
Arizona where he had lived since 1980. Born to Reo an Alta Peabody on August 27, 
1931, who preceded him in death along with his wife, Beverly and sister Carol. He 
played football at IHS and graduated in 1950. He served in the US Army and was 
employed at the Oldsmobile plant in Lansing until retiring in 1980. Survivors 
include son Fred, daughters Annette and Teresa, step-son Randy and step-daughter 
Luanne, sisters Jackie and Catherine. Seven grandsons, eleven great-grandchildren 
and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
