Excerpts from Belding Online Obituary
NORMA JEAN PEABODY of Muir.
Died February 7, 2021-age 84 at Laurels of Carson City.
Daughter of Ralph & Marguerite (Hughes) Morofsky.
Norma was employed at the Muir restaurants.
Married James Peabody on July 25, 1959, they enjoyed 52 years together.
She enjoyed visiting with customers, Detroit Tigers, morning trips to the 
Lumbermill Inn, playing cards with her lady friends.
Most of all being a grandma & spending time with family.
Survivors are her children: Marth Hay of Muir, Sarah Husman of Grand Rapids, 
Rich (Julie) Peabody of Ionia, Beth (Tyson) of Lansing, 12 grandkids, 11 great-
grandkids, sister, Judy Platte OF Detroit, many extended family & friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2010, son William Peabody, 
daughter, Denise Peabody & brothers, Chester & Don Morofsky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 at North Plaines 
Community Church, with Pastor Greg Gladding officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Ionia Area Hospice.
